01Where it began
A family, a broom
and a better idea.
Sweepro is a family-owned and family-run business, established in 1975. In 1992 it introduced the natural rubber broom to the world under the Sweepa® name, and that award-winning broom has since found its way into homes in more than 90 countries.
Sweepro Brush is the South Africa-based design and innovation division of the group, and its creative heart. It is where every Sweepa product begins, from the first rough sketch to the final approved design.
We do not design products for the sake of it. We solve problems, and we keep going until the solution is simple, durable and pleasant to use.

The family business is established
Sweepro begins as a family-owned and family-run business.

The natural rubber broom goes worldwide
It is introduced under the Sweepa® name and becomes the flagship of the family.

Decades of learning what makes a brush last, what makes it pleasant to use, and what does not.
- Today
A design house and a factory
Sweepro Brush designs every product in house, in South Africa. Sweepro Manufacturing makes it in Sri Lanka. Sweepa carries it to more than 90 countries.
